Bringing it all together

Hey everyone! Welcome back to the blog! After all the hard work we’ve put into filming, we’ve finally reached one of the most exciting (and sometimes stressful) parts of the process. Editing! Today, Conner and I sat down to start piecing everything together, and later, we went over our progress with the rest of the team. Editing is where the film truly starts to come to life. Conner and I spent hours going through all the footage, selecting the best takes, and making sure everything flowed smoothly. It’s crazy to see how different shots we worked so hard to capture actually fit together. It makes all the challenges we faced during filming completely worth it. One of the biggest things we focused on was pacing. We want the film to have an emotional impact, so timing is everything. We experimented with different cuts, transitions, and ways to enhance the mood. Seeing the shots we planned so carefully finally coming together was so satisfying. After making some solid progress, we got together with the rest of the team to review what we had so far. It was really helpful to get everyone’s feedback sometimes, when you’re staring at the same clips for hours, you miss things that fresh eyes can catch. Finn and Valentina pointed out a few small adjustments that could make certain scenes even stronger, and we also talked about sound design and music choices. There’s still a lot of fine-tuning left to do, but we’re getting closer every day. Even though editing can be overwhelming, I love how collaborative this part of the process is. It’s not just about stitching together clips. It’s about making sure the film tells the story the way we envisioned it from the start. I’m so excited for what’s coming next as we polish everything and bring our project to its final form! That’s all for today’s update! I’ll be back soon with more on the final stages of editing and getting everything ready for release. Make sure to come back for updates. Thanks for following along. Stay tuned!
