Designing our film postcards

Hey everyone! Welcome back to the blog! I’m so excited to share today’s update because it’s all about one of my favorite parts of the promotional process, designing the postcards for our film! If you’ve been following along, you know that my team and I are working hard to get the word out about our project. While social media is a great tool, we wanted something physical that people could actually hold onto something that stands out. That’s where the idea of postcards came in! They’re like business cards but way cooler because they capture the essence of our film in a single, eye-catching design. I took the lead on designing them, and honestly, it was such a fun challenge. I wanted to make sure they looked cinematic, intriguing, and professional all at once. After playing around with different layouts and images, we settled on a striking still from one of our scenes that really captures the mood of our story. The title of the film is front and center, and we also included key details like our website and social media handles. The best part? There’s a QR code on the back that takes you straight to our website for more info! I need to check with the rest of my group members on it though and if they like it, its going to stay in! We plan to distribute these postcards around school, at coffee shops, and in creative spaces where film lovers might stumble upon them. The goal is to spark curiosity. Maybe someone picks one up, scans the code, and suddenly, they’re following our journey! Seeing the postcards come to life has been so rewarding. It makes everything feel more real, like our little indie film is stepping into the world. I can’t wait to start handing them out and watching the buzz grow! That’s all for today’s update! Tomorrow, I’ll be sharing more about our editing progress and the next steps in filming. Thanks for following along, and I’ll see you in the next post!
