Filming Along the Beach

Hey bloggers! Welcome back! We recently went to film at Fort Lauderdale Beach and it was difficult, to say the least. The beach was packed since it's now spring break for many schools. There was so much going on. We originally planned the beach because this is a summerbased video so we didn't want to change it. In the past couple of years, it gets crazy, but not like this. It took us so long to find an area that was empty (for the most part) and clean. Many people have left things around on the beach that aren't necessarily appropriate to be left in the background of our shots. It took us a while to find everyone and get situated but we managed to. As we got things together, we realized how windy it was and our biggest fear of the wind picking up in the audio came true. Once we played some of the clips we shot, you couldn't hear anyone's voice and it would've been so weird to voiceover it because it wouldn't have made sense. We didn't know what to do because getting everyone together for one evening was already a lot, and we most likely wouldn't have had the chance to meet with everyone again. We refilmed multiple scenes, trying to get the audio a bit more clear. Connor gave the great idea to use another phone and put it somewhere closer to the people who were speaking so that we could extract that audio and align it with the clips correctly. This worked for the most part but when I started editing, I found the option to enhance or isolate voices, making things much easier. Thankfully, everyone was cooperating and things were coming together. Overall, we had a great time filming. That's all for today! Thank you guys for reading. Come back soon for the next updates!
