Creating The Magic
Hello, Blog! Magic is about to happen! The real magic in filmmaking happens during the editing process. We found our location where our music video for "Homecoming" by Kanye West comes to life. For this important stage, I used my trusty iPhone 14 Pro Max. For editing, why did I choose the iPhone 14 pro max? It's powerful and straightforward plus the resolution is much nicer. It was obvious given its processing power and excellent display. With the touchscreen feature, editing was a pleasure and I could add my own unique touch to every photo. My preferred editing program was Cap Cut. It was the ideal choice for our project because of its strong qualities and easy-to-use interface. The app changed the game with its capacity to produce eye-catching transitions. It gave us the freedom to play around with various effects and transitions to keep our viewers captivated to the screen. I had a gold mine of a video from our days of filming in front of me as I began editing. I had to weave these events together into a coherent plot, so it was both an exciting and challenging task. The rhythm of the song has to be perfectly matched in our video. I was excited to utilize the variety of transition effects that Cap Cut provided to add some uniqueness to our music video. We were able to transition between scenes and grasp the mood of the song with the help of smooth fades, dynamic cuts, and artistic wipes that resembled the artist's brush strokes. The scene changes are to engage the audience. "Homecoming" is a lively song, and we wanted the energy in our video to match that. Thus, scene changes were essential to keeping the audience interested. The film gained some dynamism by quick edits, split-screen effects, and smooth changes between the homecoming celebration and the meditation garden. The pristine display of the iPad Pro was a gift. I could examine each frame with the accuracy of a surgeon thanks to it. To make sure our pictures were powerful and captivating, I could change the saturation, contrast, and color grading. To match the high production value of the song with the quality of the video, this visual gloss was essential. "Homecoming" had lyrics and beats that were meaningful. It took careful attention to detail to ensure that our video and music were correctly matched. I choreographed scene changes and transitions to match the beat, creating a visual symphony in the video. The music video started coming together as we kept editing, staying true to our original idea. Cap Cut's capabilities combined with the iPad Pro turned out to be a successful combination. Our film was beginning to take on the qualities of a work of art, encapsulating the essence of "Homecoming" and conveying the same enthusiasm and energy we felt during production. I was eager to see the finished product because the editing process gave us the chance to take our concept to the next level. Making the film was worth it and such a great experience.
